How does my son get his court appointed lawyer changed

Your son should go to the clerk's office(criminal
division)and tell the clerk he would like a judge to appoint him another lawyer. Then he should be ready to give persuasive reasons as to why his current lawyer should be replaced and new counsel appointed.
