loan company has told me that im late and they are reporting it stolen because i refuse too give up the car. I will pay it but need time.can they report it stolen.

No, the vehicle cannot be reported as stolen since you came into its possession by legal means
and it is presumably legally registered to you with your name on the vehicle's title as the owner of record.
