Re-Reduce or drop jail term ???

Thank you for your prompt response.My son pleaded guilty to one count and was sentenced for 4 yrs.If he ends up with the sentence after reconsideration, how much time will he serve excatly.I was tole only 85% of the time one serves in VA.He also graduated from a detox programme of six weeks from with the detention centre, would he get credit time off for that too ?

Yes, 85 to 88% of the sentence imposed, is about average for inmates in Virginia penal facilities who accrue good time credit. And, if the inmate successfully completes a substance abuse program, that might result in a further slight reduction in the total time served.
