Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Restraining Order

My boyfriend is separated. They had irreconcilable differences and were seperated when we began dating. She insists that he left her because of me. She began calling and harassing me on my cell as well as on his. She insisted that I call her and that we meet. I ignored all calls. She then began calling and harrassing me at work. I told her not to call me anymore. She continued to call. I then went to the local police station to file a complaint. I asked that she not be arrested however. Recently my boyfriend and I went to see his daughter during horseback riding lessons. I only went because his wife was supposed to be out of town. She found out I was in and approached me telling me I would ''Have to deal with her sooner or later''. She now calls her husband (I've changed jobs as well as cell numbers to deter her from harrassing me) and threatens that I must ''pay'' for being with him and that ''there are consequences I have to face'' because I'm with him. She also brags to him that she knows I'm scared of her. What can I do legally to keep her away from me? I live in VA and she in MD.

Re: Restraining Order

As long as her contacts are now only with her husband(your boyfriend), which he, apparently, willingly accepts, there would appear to be no violation of the law.
