Re: Returning civil rights to an ex-felon; right to bear arms

You may wish to consult with a Maryland attorney

to determine whether there are any expungement remedies available to you under Maryland law or

whether, perhaps, you might be eligible to apply to the Maryland governor for a pardon.

The clearing of your record such that you would be able to purchase and possess firearms in Virginia and that would permit you to reclaim your right to vote in Virginia (or elsewhere)

must occur, if at all, under the auspices of Maryland rather than Virginia law.
