revocation of first offender status
i was assinged to the first offenders status .for possesion of marijauna..i never saw my probation officer .i had moved from one city to the next and was in formed i would be contacted by a probation officer .i never recieved notice and when i did it was tooo late i got a letter to turn my self in .help......i failed myself and of course the system failed me what can i do if anything to avoid the big chill

"The system" never failed you nor is it responsible for following you from city to city.
You are, however, responsible for contacting "the
system", in this case, the appropriate
probation office which, apparently, never happened, which is why a summons was now issued for you to appear in court.
To prepare for this probation revocation hearing you should contact the attorney who originally represented you on the possession charge. If that
attorney is not available, you should then retain another one to represent you on the revocation charge or, if you cannot afford to hire an attorney, you should go to the clerk's office of the criminal division of the court that's responsible for your case and request that one
be appointed to represent you.
