Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
What are my rights during an investigation at my job?
I was wondering if when my job accuses me of having stolen items and says that they have a list of them, are they obligated to present me with this list or not?

Re: What are my rights during an investigation at my job?
Your employer is not required to provide this documentation in an initial investigation. If you are charged with a crime, you can obtain the information through discovery with the Commonwealth Attorneys Office. Also, if you file a civil claim for defamation, you can issue a subpoena duces tecum for the materials through the courts. You should obtain an attorney and only answer questions through that person.
