robbery charge
My brother needs to know if he is entitled to the motion for discovery for his case. His court appointed lawyer is saying no, he is not. Please help.

Yes, normally defendants in criminal cases in all U.S. jurisdictions may file motions to discover whatever discoverable evidentiary material that the prosecution may have in its possession, and to request that such materials, as required under the applicable rules of evidence, be turned over to the defense.
