Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Sex Offender Registry
I was convicted of a non-violent sex offense in FL 2 years ago. The VA sex offender registry (where I now live) indicates on the website that I am ''violent''. Is there anything I can do to get this designation changed?

Re: Sex Offender Registry
You could probably start by contacting the government agency which is responsible for maintaining(and ensuring the accuracy) of this particular website in the Commonwealth which I believe is the Virginia State Police and see what needs to be done to change your designation on the site from violent to non-violent sex offender.
