Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
sexual assault charges
If someone is being accused of sexual assault and it was consensual and there is a witness saying it was consensual what are the chances it will go to trial if no charges have been brought after one week or so. Also it is a juvenille against another juvenille but our attorney says he will be charged as an adult if charged. What sort of sentence are we looking at if he was found guilty. He is not. Bad judgement yes rape no.
