Shoplifting First time offenderssatus
My daughter was arrested as 1st time at age 15. She has been arrested again for shoplifting and trying to obtain money fradualantly at age 20. Will the juvenile record remain sealed? Will she be treated as a 1st time offender again. The amount was under $200. What will the punishment be?

Ques. #1: Yes, the juvenile record should remain sealed.
Ques. #2: Yes, she should be treated as a first time adult offender and, therefore, eligible for the disposition known as SIS (Suspended Imposition of Sentence).
If SIS imposed, suspended imposition of sentence, no jail time, some community service, perhaps, along with all required court costs paid by the deadline, and the requirement of maintaining clean record upon sanction of revocation, but, her lawyer would be in a better position to answer this question.
