Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Sibling Rivalry
I have 2 children, a 7 yr old daughter and an almost 4 yr old son. Last night they got into a physical fight over who's movie gets to be watched next. I was in the kitchen cleaning up and didn't make it into the living room to break it up before my son scratched his sister on her hands and chest (near neck), then she punched him in the back. The school nurse called me today and said if it happens again(the injuries from the kids fighting) she will have to report us to Social Services, that we need to seperate them during play, etc. My questions are, can she do that? Can we get in trouble for our ''young'' kids fighting and arguing?

Re: Sibling Rivalry
Sure, the school nurse can report whatever she wants. In regard to your last question, stranger things have happened(to parents with young children)and I would not put what you've suggested beyond the range of possibility.
