Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

My sister is on 20 years probation. She originally received 10 years probation for several felony charges. Approximately 5 years later she received another felony fraud charge in a different county. She was given a 2 year suspended sentence for that charge, however when she went to court for the probation violation the judge added 10 additional years to her probation, making it 20 years probation. She has again, 3 years later, been convicted of another felony embezzlement charge, which she plea bargained to 3 months in jail. We just found out that the county where the probation is has already picked up the violation (her 2 violation of probation). How much time do you think she will serve for the probation violation?

Given her previous record, your sister could be looking at some serious

time in the state penitentiary, i.e., perhaps, at least five years or more, depending upon the particular court involved (in my opinion).

She would be well advised to engage the services of a competent criminal

defense counsel who practices criminal law in that jurisdiction to represent her

in this pending probation violation case.
