Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
If somone has pressed charges against me for assault that they claimed happened a year ago and there is no physical proof, just their word, will the judge just throw the case out??

Yes, if you or your attorney can prove that this alleged (misdemeanor) assault took place more than a year ago before you were formally charged with the crime.
