Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My son was charged with a misdemeanor and convicted of a felony. The court now admits they were wrong by submitting it as a felony. This happened 15 years ago. Today the court sent a letter to the state police to correct their error. For 15 years my son has not been allowed to vote or use a firearm. Do you think we have a law suit against the court that did this?
