spouse and crime
my husband skipped trial for malicious wounding and using a firearm in the commison of a felony. he has a public defender. He is working in another state to get a paid lawyer. the police keeps harrassing me on his whereabouts. can i get in trouble? isn't there something about a wife doesn't have to tell on her spouse?

Re: spouse and crime
You're confused as to the applicable law; in an adversary proceeding, a spouse is not required to testify under oath against his or her spouse in regard to what the other may have said on the grounds that such conversations are privileged. This is sometimes referred to as the Spousal Immunity Rule.
