Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
In the state of virginia if a person is convicted of assault and battery under code 18.2-57 and is sentenced to 12 months in jail and is then granted work release monday thru friday is this person eligable for early release after serving six months?

Yes, assuming that the person has earned one day of good time credit for each
of the180 days of the sentence that has been served. (However, if there are still
questions regarding this issue, the jail authorities are the best ones to
ask for answers.)
