Depends upon whether the check was chargeable as a criminal
offense or merely as a civil wrong. (If the former and the
check was for $200 or more, it could be charged as grand
larceny and would therefore have no statute of limitations. If a misdemeanor, i.e., less than $200, it would qualify as petty larceny and subject to a statute of limitations of one year from the date of the offense,)
