Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My stepson's mother is texting and calling saying if we do not send her a lump sum of money she will call my job and get me fired with false accusations. I work at Navy Federal Credit Union. We sent $100 to calm her down because we have their son is with us for the summer. We I want to know is this considered extortion? Now she is calling asking for the son back because she cant get her way. She threating to call the police and report kidnaping. She lives in Fl. and we are in Va. What can I do?

Nothing, other than refusing to be bribed or extorted or otherwise intimidated
by this flatulent old cow and allow her to fall into whatever mess that she may create for herself and suffer the consequences, accordingly. (Keep careful notes
as to her threats, e.g., content, date, time, etc. and chronologically ordered
in case some form of litigation ensues.)
You might consider calling the police and an attorney to stop her. If whatever she is doing is not a crime, it should be. Flatulent old cow might be the best you could say about someone like this. Good luck.
