Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Traffic stop for tail light out. I was driving suspended but wasnt charged. Tail light wasnt out either. Consented to sesrch of vehicle, nothing found. Feds had been watching me for a while due to known drug activity. Threatened to lock my wife and i up unless we consented to a search of my home. I gave them what they were looking for (approx. 3/4 oz of meth and an oz of pot) They searched more thoroughly and found 4-10mg Opana and 5-2mg Xanax. They aldo found $1200 cash in the box with the drugs that they let me keep. Other things were present thst they should have taken but didn't. More drugs, paraphenalia, and a gun ( I'm a felon). Shouldn't my wife and i be in jail? Why did they leave stuff behind they should have taken that was in plain sight? FYI i have worked as a paid CI. What are they up to?
