i would like to know the punishment for a trespassing charge in virginia.

Trespassing is a Class One Misdemeanor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The maximum punishment is up to 12 months in jail and/or a fine of up to $2,500.00. 18.2-119 of the Virginia Code.
