Unauthorized use of my ATM card by my son who is 17
If I press charges -- what could he be charged with and how long in jail could he spend -- $4800 was taken and used to buy crack - used my visa check card to withdraw funds from my ATM without authorization --

A theft to the tune of $4800, even if the accused were a juvenile, could be charged as grand larceny, a felony,
with an indeterminate sentence imposed on the offender (if convicted) in some
juvenile facility from which he could emerge even less well disposed towards those he regarded as responsible for putting him there than he was when he
first set foot in the place, supposedly, to be rehabilitated.
This is not a disposition of this matter which I would recommend for your apparently wayward son.
