Underage Possession of Alcohol

What would be the possible penalty for a first time charge? (Prince William County)

I have heard of a $500 fine on top of court fees or 50 hours of community service.

and also- would this raise the cost of my car insurance?

Thanks for any and all advice you could give. I plan to plead guilty so no lawyer will be needed.

Yes, the above is correct but you should attempt to receive the disposition known as SIS (Suspended Imposition of Sentence)which would leave you with no record of conviction if you successfully complete the terms of your probation.
