Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Unsupervised Probation or not (part B)
In continuance to the question previously asked, i double checked the sentence and it is ''deferred disposition''. Is that different from suspended imposition of sentence? If so how does the deferred disposition get handled with this new charge of the same charge as the old one that is under deferred disposition?

No, an SIS is simply a deferred disposition in the Commonwealth, and would be handled in the manner that I've previously suggested in regard to the scenario that you offered for consideration.
