VA SIS of First Offense - Underage Alcohol Possession

If I were to attempt to get an SIS from the judge, what would the possible verdict entail?

Re: VA SIS of First Offense - Underage Alcohol Possession

You would initially seek the agreement of the prosecutor assigned to your case for the SIS disposition rather than the judge.

If granted, you would be placed in what's referred to as deferred proceedings and required to enter an alcohol treatment or education program

and could have your license suspended from six months to a year(restricted privilege available).

Upon the successful completion of the terms/conditions of your probation, your case would then be closed out without any formal adjudication of guilt(verdict)and, consequently, you would have no formal record of conviction for this particular offense. See Va. Code Sec. 4.1-305(F).
