Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Vandalism
I am being charged for vadalism to a car by someone. She got a warrent out for my arrest and I was picked up the next day. I noticed the property which was vandalized was in her possesion yet was not her property.(the car belongs to someone else) On the warrent it stated that I did this to her property. Could this be throw out of court due to the fact that it is not her property which was damaged?

Re: Vandalism
The property could be legally in her possession
with an accompaning duty to protect it without her actually having title to it. And if such property were vandalized, she would most certainly be legally entitled to prefer charges against the alleged perpetrator(you).
