Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Took my vehicle into a shop to be repaired under warranty. The repair needed is not under warranty. Asked for my car back to take it to the repair shop of my choice. They told me my car was inoperable and they would consider giving me my vehicle back. Is this larceny or unauthorized use of a vehicle?

Larceny or unauthorized use? Not hardly, at least not under these facts (in my opinion).
Better arrange to consult with a local attorney who handles consumer affairs
issues and who can advise you on this matter after s/he has had the opportunity to review all of the relevant documents and facts associated with it.
