Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
If Virginia department of corrections makes an error and fails to give deserved time credit on a sentence or states credit has been given when in fact it has not , what is the next step that needs to be taken? The inmate has already disputed the issue and sent a complaint to Virginia Department of Corrections and they won't recognize the error and consider the matter closed.

So, what is VDOC's formal written response as to why this prisoner is not
able to avail himself of any relief for the situation described that might be offered under Rule/Reg. 830 known as the Offender Grievance Procedure (OGP) ?
