Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Hi my name is wiliam an i was accused of rape but i didnt do it they droppped that charges and my lawer said that i had a good case and it came back as not guilty so is it on my record an did they register me as a sex offender? I was sixteen but now im 18 trying to join the military

If you were tried as a juvenile rather than as an adult and found not guilty, the record of your case should be sealed, and, no, you could certainly not be registered as a sex offender if you were acquitted of the charge.

If there is some record, I would get it expunged. Even if you have no conviction, the arrest, fingerprints, etc. may still be on record.
