witness subpeona
if i was issued a witness subpeona & i don not show up to court can i be in legal trouble, or if i do show up to court can i refuse to testify?

A subpoena is a court order to appear in court. You can be held in contempt of court for disobeying it. Contempt can be sentenced for up to 12 months by the judge.
In court you may not refuse to answer the question unless it criminally implicates you and then you assert the 5th Amendment which is the right to be free from self incrimination.
