Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Okay so yesterday a friend and i went to a local Kohl's and got caught shoplifting which yes, i know there is no pity for but i have a question because after being apprehended and taken into Kohl's Security/Surveillance room i noticed on the bottom right tv screen that there was a tape of the whole three hours that my friend and i were in Kohl's and as i watched the tape i saw my friend and i go into the dressing room and begin trying on our clothes ( our bodys not visible ) then i saw a women who was working in the dressing room come in and grab some clothes from another dressing room i then saw the LPS ( the same guy who apprehended us ) come into the dressing room, bend down and look under the door... So i was wondering is this illegal and if so, if taken to court and this is brought up what could happen, hwo would it play out do you think?

I doubt that it would have much relevance to the issue of whether or not

you shoplifted the clothes(was it?) from Kohl's, but you could always bring

it to the attention of the attorney who hopefully is representing you

by now and who might have a different take on its evidentiary weight

in the case.
