is it legal for the military to turn someone away because they have a ged? if a ged is a high school equivalent why are they not treated equally?

Re: ged's and the military
The military can set any recruitment standards it wishes as long as they(the standards) don't violate federal antidiscrimination laws. If those standards include having an actual high school diploma(as opposed to a GED)in order to enlist, there would appear to be nothing to prohibit the military from having this requirement as one of its standards necessary for enlistment.
