sexual discrimination in the workplace?
I work on a paid rescue squad in a small town. I have obtained all the training that other crew members have obtained however, I am a young white female and therefore, many members of the squad are spreading rumors and making sexual comments and advances toward me that are unwanted. I feel as though they are tarnishing my reputation throughout the community. When reassignments for crews came about I was the only person to be assigned to another night and a certain group of young males with the same amount of training I have were reassigned with the reason being that they have ''more experience.'' I reported this to an officer and my concerns were ignored completely. Does this constitute as sexual harassment and or discrimination due to sex and age.
