Legal Question in DUI Law in Virginia

havent been convicted yet...

Thanks for the previous response - however, I was not convicted - only arrested...I have a VA drivers license not a Maryland one - do I need to send out the payment for the Officer's Certification and Order of Suspension form given to me when I was arrested for DUI regardless - my VA lic was not taken away - and I do not have a MD one so does this apply to me? I was arrest in MD...thanks

Re: havent been convicted yet...

The answer assumes that you will be convicted for DUI in Maryland and that you retain a Virginia license. I would not recommend completing and sending in any Maryland forms until required to do so by the Maryland court having jurisdiction over the matter.

And, in the meantime, you might want to see about rounding up a Maryland attorney who can competently represent you in this matter.
