My fiance is in Virginia beach correctional center for the past month. We were told when going in that we were going to get the judge in Virginia Beach to sign paperworkfor court order for him to do work release. Last week we were told he is being transfered to Norfolk. Norfolk has okayed it and now i do not understand what the hold up is. What procedure needs to be done to have someone tranfered or have the judge court order to go on work release? Is this possible to do? I feel like my lawer is not reprsenting us well.

The lawyer representing your husband should have the answers to these questions. If the answers are not forthcoming, you might want to ask the Norfolk court yourself which supposedly has by now assumed jurisdiction over the matter.
