DUI reciproocity between VA and FL

I have a DUI in VA (where I currently live) but I am moving to FL in a month. I'm trying to figure our how upfront I need to be with the FL DMV/ Insurance companies about having a DUI in VA . Any info would be appreciated.

The correct approach is actually quite simple and straight forward: You volunteer no information to Florida DMV or insurance companies regarding your DUI conviction in the Commonwealth unless you're specifically asked about or required to respond on written applications regarding any such convictions which you may have in your background.

Then you simply tell the truth.
