i was just wondering what the laws for second offence dui were in the state of virginia

1. DUI second conviction-less than 5 yrs from previous conviction= minimum mandatory fine $500 and mandatory 20 days in jail.

2. DUI second conviction 5 to 10 years from date of previous conviction= minimum mandatory fine of $500 and 10 days in jail.

3. DUI second conviction within 10

years of prior conviction, 10 additional days in jail if BAC

between .15-.20; 20 additional days if .20+.

4. Additionally, whatever civil fines of $1000+ that may be applicable if not yet repealed by the time of defendant's sentencing.
