Hi,
My friend was recently arrested for possession of alcohol, marijuana, narcotics, parafinalia, and curfew. she is 16 years old. When she was arrested and her parents came to get her the cops told her parents that she had these charges but there was no written form given. Will she be charged still?

Most likely yes. The police officer will present the charges and information to an Intake Officer at Juvenile Court. The Intake Officer will determine what charges should be filed, and issue what are called "petitions" to initiate the process. The court will then send a summons to the parents and child, notifying them of the court date. The first date is usually an advisement hearing to inform them about the process and find out what she intends to do about a lawyer (hire one or ask for a public defender).
