I had a dui in virginia 4 years ago my license was suspended, I was supposed to attend vasap. I moved to north carolina after i went to treatment for alcoholism. I was supposed to take classes there but couldn't afford it because i didnt have a license. My suspension was for one year. Since the time is up can and i just moved back to VA, can I go to the dmv and get my license back or do I have to do VASAP classes. My actual suspension has been up for at least three years.

Re: license reenstatement in Virginia

Since you never completed the required probation, it's possible that your PO notified the court and a capias(warrant) was issued for your arrest.

You can find out for sure by calling the clerk of the Virginia traffic court which was responsible for handling the matter and asking for a

report on the status of the case.
