ROL in Virgina State
For a friend:
''I have two jobs, and I have visitation. My ex is VERY good about letting me see the kids even when it is not my days. My work schedule changes constantly and so does my visitation due to my work schedule. However I worry about getting pulled by some John Wayne cop while I am driving to work or to see my kids when it is not specifically spelled out on my ROL. I could easily prove either in court.
My ''advice''...was...on a ROL you will just get a warning if driving on a ROL. However I have myself and three kids to support. I have already made one dumb mistake(DWI that's why I have the ROL) and don't want another.
I do have my physical ROL and the green sheet. I cannot run to the court every freaking month that my work schedule or visitation schedule changes. If I honestly am going to work or to see my kids outside of my listed ROL, what is the realistic result?

As long as you're legitimately on your way to work or to visit your children, the hours of the day or evening should not matter with respect to the requirements of your restricted operator's license which should have language sufficently flexible to accommodate the changing nature of your respective work as well as visitation schedules.
