Dirt Bikes

I want to know if dirt bikes are leagal in Chesterfield, Virginia. Im aobut to buy a little dirtbike and i want to ride it in the neighborhood to a open land where nobody own. So i just want to kno if its leagal.

Believe it or not, nearly anything you want to do with a dirt bike (an "off-road motorcycle") is legal in VA as long as you wear a helmet. You can even ride one down the street if your license is suspended for a DUI! Starting today (July 1, 2006) if you buy a new off-road bike from a dealer you will get a VA certificate of title (pink slip). But you don't need license plates or registration.
