Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have a 4 year old little boy and his father and I are not together anymore. We share Joint Custody. His father is remarried and I am engaged. My fiance is living in the home with me and my son. Is it against the law to do this?

Certain acts that occur between you and your fiance may be against the law. Most judges will not give it much weight if you are in a healthy relationship with the man and its is a good environment for the child. That is not to say that there are no judges at all that may rule against you regarding custody of the child if there is a battle in court. Judges have much discretion in cases involving children. They could give more weight to one factor than the other. I advise an attorney if problems arise. Attorney Sheryl Shane. www.sherylshanelaw.com. Tel. 703 503 4448.
