Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have a 16 year old son that is having a baby in Jan. his girlfriend is 16 too. The problem is that the girlfriends mother is threating my son telling him that he will NOT be aloud to have anything to do with the baby. I need to find out if I need to retain a lawyr NOW for my son before this baby is born so I can protect my sons rights as a father and see what rights he has so he dos not miss a minute of his sons life?????????

If your son is interested in his rights as a father civilly, he should request a paternity test to get his rights established.
