Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have a 5 year old son who is currently under his mothers custody. We have been separated for over a year waiting for a divorce. When we separated, it was only a month before she had another man move in. I have not even dated during this time. Now after less than a month of splitting with him, she is now on the verge of moving in with another man. While in kindergarten, the school did an assessment on my son because he was acting out and not doing very well. They came to the conclusion that his problems were "emotional". In your opinion would this "man hopping" have any effect on my son? My son is always telling me he hates his mom and her ex boyfriend and wants to live with me. I do nothing to encourage this. Any help would be appreciated. I didn't want to call Social Services until I checked with someone first. Thanks again.

Have the boy evaluated by a qualified child psychologist or psychiatrist

with specific expertise in this area of child psychology and request that

a formal report be prepared regarding the doctor's findings and conclusions.

His or her expert testimony could be useful if you later attempt to gain custody of your son and in the meantime the boy might receive treatment (if needed) for any emotional disturbances caused by his mother's conduct.
