Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have a 18yo daughter that is pregnant the father of the baby is 17. My daughter wants to raise her baby is there any way I can obtain custody so that my insurance will cover the baby and she not loose her parental rights for the child. Please help.

That would very likely be up to a judge of the Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court in the city or county where you reside.

You may request the court for joint custody. Some judges will consider. Some will not.

You should understand how to present the case to the judge and understand the burden placed on the petitioning party.
