Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

help with a 18yr old

My 18yr old is moving to another state with a man twice her age. My problem is she is mentally unstable and depressed. She is not thinking clearly and this man is taking complete advantage of her. He is also married to her cousin(they are now seperated) and has 2 small kids. He is leaving the kids with his wife and taking off, leaving bills behind. My daughter is also in some legal trouble and has a court date in Mar, I know she will not come back for it. Is there anything at all that I can do about this? Should I call her public defender to inform them she is leaving the state?

Yes, you could notify your daughter's public defender regarding her proposed exodus from the state.

Beyond that, you can forget it, as she's now an adult(albeit an apparently impaired one)and can do (though ill-advisedly)as she pleases.
