Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

an 18 yr old swears and hits and threatens 10yr old and when mother of the 10yr old steps in she is verbally assaulted within 3 inches of her face and threatened by the 18 yr old. this has been going on now for over a year is there anything that she can do? she has trid talking the the 18yr old and his family but to no avail. she can no longer stand by and watch as it happens to all her 5 children and not be allowed to do anything about it. is there anything that can she can do legally to stop this from going on?

File a motion to modify. If you refuse he can file a rule to show cause. You can argue you have good cause not to follow through with prior court order due to the facts at hand.
