Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

a 74 yr old woman wants to divorce her husband of about 10 yrs. her house was in her name up until a yr ago when they refinanced and both names were put on it. She has owned the house for 25 yrs and wants to keep it. Is it possible for her to divorce and keep her house. What should she do to insure keeping her house or get it back in her name.

Probably, agree to buy out his equitable interest in the property (whatever that may be), or, if the parties cannot agree on such a disposition, then proceed to litigate the matter via equitable distribution as part of the divorce before a judge of the circuit court.
