Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

2 yrs after moving out because of my husband's adultery, 1 yr after going to court and 4 months after a phone conference between the lawyers and the judge who confirmed his previous decision I still do not have a court order or my divorce because my husband's lawyer refuses to sign the necessary papers. What recourse do I have? After spending about 10,000 $ in legal fees my lawyer does not even answer my e mails and I have no idea what to do

If your lawyer is refusing to communicate with you, s/he is in violation of

the Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct and may need to be the subject

of a formal complaint filed with the Virginia State Bar.

Furthemore, if this course of conduct continues, you may have to

replace this lawyer with one who is more attentive to his/her obligations

with respect to clients who have paid good money for his or her

professional services.
