Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I would like to know if it is possible to have an adopted father who is now serving time for child abuse be removed from my (adult) birth certificate. I'm concerned that he will have rights to my children being he is there legal grandfather. I do have a no contact court document that includes myself and my children. I have my biological father who would like to replace him on my birth certificate if possible.

You should arrange for a consultation with a Virginia attorney who handles

adoption matters regarding the possibility of having your biological father

adopt you during which process the parental rights of your step-father

would be terminated after which an order could be requested from the court

for the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Richmond to amend your birth certificate

to reflect the foregoing.
